Captain Mykel Hawke is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces officer, author, and television and film personality. Mr. Hawke has created television programs on the Discovery Channel called Man, Woman, Wild and One Man Army. He left Discovery to work on two new programs: Lost Survivors for Travel Channel and Elite Tactical Unit for Outdoor Channel. Mykel is a best selling author of numerous books and manuals. A combat veteran, he served as an enlisted soldier and later as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Special Forces ("Green Berets"), attaining the rank of captain. He fought rebels and trained UN peacekeepers in war-torn Africa and did combat search and rescue missions during the drug war in Colombia. He holds black belts in Aikido and judo. Mr. Hawke holds a college degree, a BS from UNY in Biology. He also holds an MS from UCA in Family Counseling. He was rated in 7 languages in the Army and paid for 3 languages, the maximum allowed, documented in his published language book, The Quick and Dirty Guide to Learning Languages Fast.

 

Iona Bonney is a teacher at Pitcairn School. Pitcairn Island is the only inhabited island of the Pitcairn Islands, of which many inhabitants are descendants of mutineers of HMS Bounty. The closest airport being a 30-hour boat ride, on average, the Pitcairn Islands enjoy a tropical climate all year-round with relatively constant temperatures during most months of the year. As of January, 2020, the island has 47 permanent inhabitants and currently has 3 students.
