Welcome Back Teachers
One of the best parts about being a teacher is knowing that you're making a tangible difference in students' lives. This year has been filled with many unique stories to tell, people from all walks of life, but most importantly memories. Being able to prepare students for their futures is incredibly empowering and is its own reward. Today we want to formally say welcome back teachers and thank you for all the things you do!
Being A Role-Model
We recognize all of the effort you put into your lesson plans and the extra time you spend to make sure everyone feels heard. Empathy is easily one of the most prominent parts of this since every teacher was at one point a student. More than anyone they understand all the complexities that go into the classroom dynamic and are there to be a role model for their students. Leadership is something that isn't easy but being able to lead a classroom with poise and a positive mentality can make everyone involved happy.
The Many Skills of Teachers
Running a classroom brings with it unique challenges that require quick thinking and flexibility. Handling the unexpected is one of the many skills within a teacher's toolkit along with having good communication skills. Listening is oftentimes just as important as teaching since it gives teachers the chance to be more inclusive. It also requires being able to adapt to new information and changes within the world and culture. All of these are concepts teachers are familiar with and it's commendable being able to apply these daily. The world is ever-changing and so too does the curriculum each teacher covers for their lessons. Making A Difference
Without a doubt, one of the absolute best parts about being a teacher is realizing how much of a difference you make for students. School is a pivotal time in everyone's life since it effectively teaches people how to interact with others along with preparing them for later in life. Teachers help provide the building blocks necessary to have a well-rounded education which in turn leads to a more balanced individual. Each teacher brings with them a unique perspective on the world and with how they teach and the great thing about it is that there will be students that gravitate towards that style more. Giving students someone that inspires them through their integrity, actions, and genuine passion for what they do is what being a teacher is all about, and we're glad to have you back!
