GPA And Scholarships

One of the key components of senior year involves bunkering down to try and raise your grade point average in an effort to gain scholarships. Scholarships can make a massive difference in that they help fund college tuition and in some instances make it so students don't have to pay out of pocket. This is typically viewed as a way of rewarding those who managed to excel in academic achievement along with giving students a head start for higher education. A high GPA is also a requirement for enrollment in certain colleges which can affect choices depending on where a student wants to go. While some students may not recognize the importance of good grades in high school, they can offer unparalleled freedom and choice later in life.

Seniors will need to dedicate a healthy amount of time to practice and prepare for these tests as they can help for their future endeavors. Seniors will also want to have a college admissions essay ready and prepared. This essay can ideally highlight a student's history along with their ambitions and why college can help with that. While it may be easy to feel the need to achieve, this essay should highlight your best qualities along with being honest with your strengths and areas to improve.

Enjoying The Journey

More than anything else, seniors should make sure that they enjoy the journey. High school along with all the events and activities for senior year can help develop character and charisma. Extracurricular activities can give students the chance to meet others who are passionate about the same interests along with building up their resume. Mentally taking time for yourself is also something that seniors will want to do. Some seniors are in the position of having to work while also doing high school full time. This can leave students feeling stressed out as they may be working to help pay for rent or future college tuition. Seniors will want to take extra care of themselves as they will need all the mental energy they can get to help focus on their academic priorities. Being mindful on your mental health along with remembering to have fun during your senior year can make a world of difference.
