Communication

Being clear and concise with what you need from someone in a group project setting is one of the best ways to establish good communication. Oftentimes we may misinterpret what is needed from us which is why we want to try and clarify things when we don't understand them. Sometimes something as simple as asking what your role is in a task can help everyone know what they are doing. Delegating things to others is another common thing in leadership as we can't be everywhere at once. We need to know what projects require our immediate attention and which ones can be done by someone else. We may not have the specific experience required to do something which is another reason why we may need to delegate things. Communication recognizes that it is a two-way street with accomplishing things and that being gentle and mindful of others’ needs is important.
