Why Change Has Value

Doing the same thing on a consistent basis can help establish a routine. Having this sort of consistency can be good because it provides a clear expectation of the things you have to do in your life. Sometimes though, we want to change this up because new experiences can provide value to our lives. Today we want to do a deep dive into why change has value and some helpful ways to include this into your life.

School And Change

There are many different things that school can show us throughout our academic journey. A good example of this are new classes. The courses we take scale in terms of complexity and seeing our progress with them can be rewarding. A class we once struggled with may be second nature by the end of the year. New challenges give us the space to hone our skills and improve at a reasonable pace without being overwhelmed. Each grade level showcases different concepts and topics that make more sense the further we are in our lives. For example, philosophy is typically found in high school and college because it requires more advanced critical thinking skills that we're more likely to have at this point in time. Likewise, the earlier grades help us work on the fundamentals that will be used for the rest of our lives. Change in a school environment has value that continues to scale the further we go.

Life And Change

Life brings with it unique changes that we will see, some of them challenging, others being more flexible. Both of these are important to keep in mind because some things won't always have a clear-cut solution. Having an adaptable mindset is crucial to making the most out of change. A good example of this can involve having many different friendships across your life. Enjoying them as they are present matters because things such as moving, having different career ambitions, or even a difference of values can affect these relationships. Tempering expectations is a healthy thing to do along with keeping an optimistic outlook on how these events shape out. A good mentality can help you through many different situations and there are many valuable lessons that life can teach us.

Embracing Change

It's good to keep in mind that change is constant. Like a river, life is always flowing in motion, and learning to work alongside it is one of the best ways to find value. Change allows us to adopt new mindsets that can make things easier for us. It can expose us to new people and with that, new perspectives that they bring. It can help us improve at the things we love by pushing us toward more difficult courses that test what we're capable of. Change is effectively a means of discovery and you never know what new things you may love after trying them. Ultimately change is a necessary component for personal growth and it can improve your life for the better.
