Finding a healthy balance between responsibilities and fun activities is a good thing as it can lift your mood. Sometimes we may face challenging situations which may affect our mood and peace. When something upsetting happens it can be very hard to look away from it, especially if it is something we are living through. With that in mind, the things we choose to give attention to can be amplified. For example, if we are upset about something, instead of dwelling on it and letting that ruin our day, we can choose to acknowledge it and move on. This can be something along the lines of letting someone know you're grateful for having them in your life or giving someone a smile. While this can seem tricky, the short-term discomfort of being honest is oftentimes better than dishonest communication. Being mindful of the elements within us we want to work on while cherishing what makes us special is good for our mental health. Telling yourself that you care can go a long way toward a positive mindset. Care also extends far beyond the mental aspect as well. Simply being aware of things such as when we are hungry or tired can impact us. Too often do we ignore our needs and it can cause us distress. Harmony requires the self-awareness and willingness to change when we feel it can help us in the long run.
