Positive qualities are a great thing to work on and one of the most common of these is confidence. This is important as it can affect both our thoughts and actions. Today we want to talk about why this matters and some great ways to build it.

Confidence And Motivation

Confidence is one of the best forms of motivation as it provides a sense of positive energy. Being confident in your own abilities is one of the best ways to pursue something that you are passionate about. This is mainly because it demonstrates mental competence at what you can do. A good example of this would be being excited to take on a new assignment because you've specifically been studying about it on the side as something you enjoy. This holistic blend between doing things out of personal enjoyment and things that are necessary can lead to a sense of balance. Another example of this can be found in social situations as well. Being able to approach new people is much easier when we feel comfortable with who we are. Confidence and motivation go hand in hand because when we feel good internally is when we can apply this with our actions.

Confidence And Self-Love

Self-love ties into the idea of confidence as well. Knowing who we are and practicing elements of self-love can lead to an overall better sense of confidence. One way this applies is by taking care of our basic needs such as eating and sleeping. These are both very easy to push aside and this is evident when we don't feel too well about our self-image. Someone with a positive self-image recognizes that our basic needs are an essential part of being able to practice this form of love and care. Some other good methods to practice this are by being in social circles that empower you. While it may be tempting to spend time with others simply not to be by yourself, it can eventually wear you down mentally if you're around people that make you feel worse. This sort of mindfulness and being around others who work together can provide a sense of self-love and bring out the confidence within.

Confidence And Empathy

One of the last major areas that correlates to confidence is how empathy fits into this. There are many times in our lives where we may not feel comfortable doing a task or expressing ourselves and that is okay. It can take time for us to learn how to overcome these feelings. There eventually will come a point where we will be able to move past our thoughts and feel more satisfied with how we feel. It's good to be mindful of these feelings before we were confident as everyone goes through a different journey. Being able to positively encourage others through a combination of active listening and practicing empathy can help others build their own form of confidence. Recognizing that everyone goes through this at some point is good because it can promote this positive form of awareness.
