Using Anxiety as a Means of Creativty

Stress and anxiety are two common challenges that students will face but we can learn from these. We may often find ourselves in situations where we need to push through these thoughts and we may be surprised with the results of our work. Today we want to cover an important topic that delves into using anxiety as a means of creativity along with motivating you to pursue what you love.

Acknowledge The Good in Your Life

Anxiety isn't something that we can simply ignore, however, there are ways to mitigate the feelings of it which still being mindful of what we are experiencing. One very helpful thing to integrate is gratitude as it can provide a healing form of appreciation and self-love that can get you through even the most difficult of moments. When it comes to creativity, a common area that we may feel is self-doubt about our work and efforts. Being able to see what you have done in the past is a good way of seeing your progress as it shows the humble origins of everything you've learned up to this point. The fact that you've been able to have the courage to simply start is proof alone that you are capable of great things. There are so many reasons to pursue something you care about and acknowledging the good can give you the strength to push forward.

Recognize That Things Will be Okay

Anxiety can be very difficult to manage especially in the moment where we may feel unsure of the direction things are going in. Creatively, this is hard as we can't see what our efforts will amount to once we finish a project. These feelings are okay to have. It is good to recognize that things will be okay. To truly learn and develop your skills, you need to trust that some combination of your talent and letting go of things outside of your locus of control is needed to have a calm and clear frame of mind. We do not have control over everything in our lives, and being content with that can give you peace of mind knowing that you don't have to manage every aspect.

Let go And Let The Creativity Flow

Letting go is one of the last key points when want to discuss and this ties into anxiety as well. Once we have acknowledged and recognized our feelings, we want to eventually focus on letting them go, and more specifically channeling these feelings in a constructive manner. Creative endeavors along with expression are the cornerstone of how we convey art. Creativity is the culmination of our emotions, life experiences, and our thoughts and this holds true in every sense of how our minds work. Creativity is like a source of water, sometimes it can stagnate when we don't take care of it, and other times it can flow. Letting go of mental habits that harm us is a good thing and being mindful of our well-being can give us a gentle push in the right direction. Ultimately it is a reflection of how we express ourselves.
