Creating Your Ideal Day

Everyone has their version of what seems like the perfect day for them. For many it includes plenty of time off, being around those we care about, or simply doing something fun. While we can't always make every day perfect, we can still strive to make it as ideal as possible where we can.

Working Around Your Schedule

All of us have different responsibilities that we need to take care of. As students, we need to attend our classes, be on time, and get our assignments done swiftly and with care. When we're at home we may also need to help out around the house with different chores. It's good to take the initiative to ask where we're able to help since it makes life easier for everyone in our home. Certain events have a healthy degree of flexibility to them and those are the ones we need to keep in mind when we're trying to create our ideal day. The mandatory things such as school or work take priority but once we're done with those we have the choice to work around that.

Understanding What Makes Your Ideal Day Unique

It's good to sit down and take a look at the different things that we value. Doing this can give us a greater appreciation for our interests since we can see how much time we spend with them. When we're creating our ideal day it's good to set aside time specifically for the things we're passionate about since there's only so much time in the day to do them. When we're looking at our interests it’s good to ask why they bring us joy. Is it because they make us feel empowered? Or perhaps because they give us the opportunity to be around others who feel the same? Maybe it's because they help us learn more about ourselves. Celebrating what makes us unique is one of the best forms of empowerment and we owe it to ourselves to enjoy each day to the fullest.

Being Disciplined To Follow Through

Sometimes it's not just about the planning side of things. We need to also consider any mental hurdles to overcome when we're making our ideal day. It could be a matter of motivation where we'll have to put forth the time and effort to see things through that we planned out. Recognizing whether any of the barriers we face are self-imposed can also help us here. Sometimes we might not be aware that we may be making certain things difficult to accomplish. Whether this is through our habits or simply because of our personality, we deserve time to cherish each day. One way to help with this is by focusing on being disciplined. In order to do this we need to work on consistency since that can help us keep the right amount of accountability with our actions. Our ideal day is meant to be a reward for all the things we do and it's inherently a personal endeavor.
