Why Stability is a Good Goal

Finding out how to make it through the various challenges and hurdles that life gives us can take time and effort. Many of us may not realize that we have a plethora of good things happening in our lives as well. Something that can help us with this is promoting stability. Today we want to talk about why stability is a good goal to aim for and why it matters.

A Good Foundation

A great thing that stability teaches us is that there is value in having a good foundation. One concept that is especially relevant here is the idea of our chakras, most specifically the root chakra. Originating in India, the chakras are a belief system that our bodies are comprised of several different spiritual parts. The root chakra is the first one and is located in our feet. Similar to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, this represents our most fundamental needs to get by on a daily basis. This includes food, shelter, and most importantly, stability. Having this sort of foundation within your life is crucial for you to function and prioritizing it is worth your time. Sometimes we might go without eating or sleeping for an extended period of time. Learning how to correct this so we can put ourselves back on track to success is needed for a healthy life.

Balance

Balance is another area where stability can be applied. A good example of this can be our daily routine. If we find ourselves doing something in excess we can feel that our time is being used in a manner that may not empower us. This can include things such as browsing social media for a long time for example. Being able to catch ourselves in the process can help free up more of our time so we can do the things that truly matter to us. Having a balance in multiple areas of our lives is the key to stability. This can include balancing our personal goals such as things we want to achieve in our careers. It can also be related to maintaining a healthy social circle where everyone is able to express themselves authentically.

Well-Being

Lastly, we want to discuss how well-being plays a role in stability. It's important to consider how stress can affect us within our lives first. Stress is often caused by too many changes at once. This can effectively shock the body and lead to anxiety and other ailments. With that in mind, having a sense of stability can significantly mitigate these feelings. Stability is necessary for our well-being since it can give us a sort of respite from the challenges we face. The comfort of a good friend group or the security of a career for example can keep us emotionally stable. Our mentality is often the biggest barrier for stability and learning how to be kind to ourselves and take things one step at a time is a good way to work towards this healthier mindset.
